Amitabh Bachchan won the Superstar of the Millennium Award at the Filmfare Awards in 2000. The actor delivered an emotional and heartfelt speech for this stupendous achievement.
The megastar looked handsome as ever dressed in a traditional ensemble. Expressing his gratitude for this award, Amitabh said, “First I would like to express my extreme gratitude to the Times of India and Filmfare for honouring me with this very gracious award. I know that there are a lot of seniors and my elders here who deserve this more than I do but I respect your sentiments and thank you for it. Filmfare has come a long way and the Filmfare awards too.”
He further added, “I thank all the people who have been a part of my life, especially my parents for bringing me to this world. I thank my family and friends for being supportive and helping me achieve this.”
On the work front, Amitabh stole the spotlight in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD recently where the actor portrayed the role of Ashwatthama, the protector of the tenth avatar of Lord Vishnu, Kalki.
