The Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl XLVIII Triumph

Email :1

The Seattle Seahawks entered the NFL as an expansion team in 1976. Until 2001, the Seahawks were in the AFC West – it is still weird for us old schoolers to accept that they are in the NFC West now. And, we still pine for the Kingdome the stadium they played in from their inception until 1999.

Seahawks fans are known as the “12th Man” because their loudness gives them such an edge during home games, it feels as though there is a “12th” defender on the field. The fans set a Guinness World Record for crowd noise against the Saints in 2013, chiming in at 137.6 decibels during the game.

The Seahawks are the only NFL team in the American Pacific Northwest. They are also the only team to have ever played in an AFC Championship Game and an NFC Championship Game. The Seahawks have appeared in three Super Bowls, winning one when they smashed the Denver Broncos 43-8.

Iconic head coach Chuck Knox aka “Ground Chuck” created the first great era of Seahawks teams with his smash mouth, run-first style on offense.
