AHL’s Laval Rocket Tweak Jerseys for 2024-25 Season – SportsLogos.Net News

The Laval Rocket are playing a game of give and take with the stripes on their revamped jerseys for the 2024-25 American Hockey League season.

The Rocket — who are affiliated with the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens — introduced the new uniforms on their social media channels on Wednesday, October 2, ahead of preseason games against the Belleville Senators and Toronto Marlies over the weekend.

The jerseys still feature a contrasting stripe around the chest on the front, but the stripe no longer continues to the back, similar to the Florida Panthers’ current jerseys. The sleeves on the Rocket’s previous jerseys featured a secondary logo on the sleeve of a shield with “LE ROCKET” spelled out inside; that logo remains on the sleeve but now has a stripe running underneath it.

The front of each jersey continues to feature the Rocket’s primary logo, and the bottom of each sleeve continues to feature the team’s secondary logo of a number and a rocket trail, a tribute to their namesake and Montreal Canadiens legend Maurice “Rocket” Richard. They also still have “LAVAL” spelled out on each shoulder.

Sleeve numbers and names on the red jerseys remain one-color white, but based on graphics posted to the Rocket’s Twitter account, the numbers on the back appear to be changing to white with blue and white outlines. The names and sleeve numbers on the white jerseys are one-color blue, and the back numbers are blue with white and blue outlines.

AHL teams wear dark jerseys at home until the Christmas break, then switch to white jerseys at home until the end of the regular season. They then typically go back to dark jerseys at home for the playoffs.

The Rocket’s 2024-25 AHL regular kicks off with visits to the Providence Bruins and the Springfield Falcons on Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12, respectively. They’ll then head home to Laval for two games against the Syracuse Crunch on October 18 and 19.
