As Europe’s top domestic soccer leagues get their 2024-25 season underway, the kit unveilings keep coming even as teams begin their campaigns. Here are a few of the kit launches from the past week:
?? AC MILAN – Third
Italian Serie A powerhouses AC Milan bring fresh colors to the pitch with their new third kit for 2024-25, made by Puma. The base of the kit is “shadow grey,” accented with a “fresh mint” green collar and sleeve cuffs and a “grape mist” mesh insert at the front of the collar “to express the inherent Milanese style in a way that’s both new and distinctly Rossonero, even in the absence of Rosso or Nero,” according to the club’s website. The AC Milan crest on the left chest is rendered in shades of mint green. The Puma logos on the chest and sleeve are also mint green, while the sponsor logos on the chest and sleeve are “grape mist.”

?? VENEZIA FC – Home
Prior to their first Serie A match of the 2024-25 season against Lazio on Sunday, August 18, newly promoted Venezia FC hadn’t officially unveiled any of their kits, but they did take the pitch wearing a new black home kit made by Nocta, a sub-brand of Nike headed up by rapper Drake. The shirt has a tonal diamond pattern all over, gold piping running down the shoulders, and orange and green side panels. The collar is solid black while the sleeve cuffs have orange and green striping. The club crest and sponsor logos on the chest are gold.
?? GENOA CFC – Away
Fellow Italian side Genoa CFC is looking to rewrite history with its 2024-25 away kit, made by Kappa. The kit is mostly white, with red stripes down the shoulders and sides that are flanked by tapering blue stripes. The polo collar is blue with a red stripe. The left chest features a retro Genoa crest from the 1980s that depicts a griffin with a red head and a blue ruffle of neck feathers
ASTON VILLA – Away
English side Aston Villa debuted their new Adidas away kits in the opening match of their 2024-25 Premier League season over the weekend at fellow claret-and-blue club West Ham United. Villa’s away kits are solid white with the same striped collar as their home kits, though it doesn’t quite go all the way around on the white kit. The Adidas shoulder stripes are light blue, almost blending in with the rest of the shirt at a quick glance. Like the home kit, the away kit features Villa’s 150th anniversary logo on the back collar.

LEICESTER CITY – Third
Another white Premier League kit comes from Leicester City in the form of their 2024-25 third kit, also made by Adidas. The solid white kit features an embossed “fox and crop” crest pattern that, along with the kit’s color palette, is inspired by Leicester’s “Ice Kings” squad from the 1962-63 season that went on an 18-game unbeaten streak during one of the coldest winters the United Kingdom has ever recorded. Accents on the collar and shoulders are dark blue, and the current club crest is rendered in dark blue and white on the left chest.
CRYSTAL PALACE – Third
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace has gone in the complete opposite direction as their Premier League counterparts for their 2024-25 third kit, made by Macron. The kit is predominantly black with red and blue vertical stripes with “embossed, faded eagle motifs” down the center of the shirt. A red stripe runs down the right shoulder, on the same side as the red stripe on the front, while a blue stripe runs down the left shoulder. The crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs are black with narrow red and blue stripes.
?? ANGERS SCO – Away
Meanwhile in France, Ligue 1 side Angers SCO aims to highlight their “values of simplicity, elegance and authenticity” through their 2024-25 away kit, made by Nike. The kit is predominantly white with a sublimated pattern of fine gold lines all over that appear to depict the spires and facade of Cathédrale Saint-Maurice in the city of Angers. The sleeves are solid white, as are the crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs.
