AHL’s Belleville Senators Honour OHL Title-Winning Bulls Squad With Classic Jerseys – SportsLogos.Net News

This weekend, the American Hockey League’s Belleville Senators are marking the 25th anniversary of their city’s championship win in a different league with special throwback jerseys.

The Senators unveiled the jerseys on their social media channels on Thursday, December 12, and they’ll wear them on the ice on Saturday, November 14, when they host the Rochester Americans. The black, yellow and sweaters honour the 1999 Belleville Bulls squad that won the Ontario Hockey League championship before falling to the host Ottawa 67s in the Memorial Cup semifinal.

Just like they wore in 1999, the 2024 version of the Bulls jerseys are predominantly black, with a yellow collar and red and yellow stripes around the waist. There are no stripes around the arms. The Bulls’ primary logo from the era appears on the chest.

The numbers on the back and sleeves are yellow with red outlines, while the names on the back are one-colour yellow. A Bulls secondary logo, with a bull peering out over the initials “BB,” sits on the right shoulder, while the Senators’ alternate logo appears on the left shoulder.

Game-worn Bulls jerseys will be auctioned off online following the game, with proceeds benefitting the Belleville Minor Hockey Association. Minor hockey players will also participate in on-ice activities throughout the game.

Several alumni from the 1999 Bulls team will be on hand Saturday for a special pre-game ceremony that will include raising a banner in the CAA Arena “to honour the legacy of the Bulls in the Friendly City.” Fans will enjoy 1999 prices at concession stands, including $2.50 hot dogs and $3 popcorn.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at the CAA Arena in Belleville, Ontario.
