Minnesota Vikings To Debut “Winter Warrior” Alternate Uniforms On Monday Night Football – SportsLogos.Net News

The Minnesota Vikings will debut their new “Winter Warrior” alternate uniforms when they host the Chicago Bears in one of two Monday Night Football matchups this evening (8 p.m. ET on ABC).

The all-white uniforms feature purple numbers with a metallic silver stroke and icicles hanging from the digits, rather than their usual sail-inspired serifs, as well as metallic silver and purple sleeve stripes that match the design of their home purple and white road jerseys.

There’s also a new “Vikings” wordmark on the chest, which is written in Minnesota’s “Skol” font, and a Nordic knot design on the back collar with three shields as a nod to head coach Kevin O’Connell’s mantra of “Our Way, Our Team, Our Process.”

The jerseys will be paired with white pants that include a metallic gold and purple stripes down the side and the first while helmet in Vikings’ history, as they’ve only worn various shades of purple dating back to their inaugural season in 1961.

The helmet features a metallic silver facemask, metallic silver stripe and white horns outlined in purple, matching the version of Minnesota’s primary logo that was painted at midfield during the first two “Winter Whiteouts,” including a 27-24 win over the New York Giants in 2022 and a 30-24 loss to the Detroit Lions in 2023.

Both of those games featured a “Vikings” wordmark in the end zone against a contrasting white or purple background, but this year’s purple end zones also include the aforementioned knot design flanking the wordmark.

The Bears, meanwhile, will counter with their standard home uniform of navy blue helmets, navy blue jerseys and white pants, marking the first time since last season’s Sept. 17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that they’ve worn something other than white on the road (orange alternate helmets, jerseys).
